Egypt

Our site has been mum on the current events happening in Egypt this past week. There are new developments everyday with increased size of that country’s population demanding Hosni Mubarak to step down as president.

There’s been reported 150 deaths due to the protests and unrest. The great fear is that Mubarak will begin to use military force to “calm” down the crowds.

The other big story, as we witnessed in Iran 18-months ago, is a demonstration of the power of social media. These demonstrations are organized on facebook.com

Senator John Kerry has a column in today’s NY Times about Egypt, calling for Mubarak to step aside and face reality.
