Music Wednesday (Banzai Edition)

I have recently seen the (dubbed) cult-classic The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. It’s pretty strange and very much of its mid-80’s era. However, there is a memorable end credits montage (below). So bizarre, but somewhat compelling. The music is by Michael Boddicker, mostly known for synthesized scores when those were popular. Some believe that the end montage in The Life Aquatic is a direct homage to Banzai (after the jump). Both films co-star Jeff Goldblum.

All you need to know, if you haven’t seen the movie, is Banzai (Peter Weller) is reuniting with his team.
