Jonathan Alter of Newsweek, and recent author of The Promise about Obama’s first year, just wrote on Obama’s fighting skills or lack thereof. And smack dab in the middle Alter argues how Obama can show his mettle with his super-rich opponents:
For liberals rightly concerned that he sides too much with banks over the middle class, Obama can expand his circle of economic advisers and name Elizabeth Warren to run the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Damn straight. Warren in many folks’ eyes could be Obama’s saving grace or the final anchor that will stop his ship mid-way, er, one term.
