Airbender is Hexed

The Last Airbender is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented.

-Roger Ebert’s review

The Last Airbender is a tragedy, pure and simple. It contains terrible writing, atrocious acting, and a choppy narrative that feels far more patched together than even Jonah Hex, despite running a reasonable 102 minutes.

-Scott Mendelson’s review

Just when I didn’t think movie reviews couldn’t get more vicious than they did for Sex and the City 2, we got Jonah Hex. As soon as Hex was firmly established as the dud of the summer, here comes The Last Airbender. The reviews have started coming in for M. Night Shyamalan’s latest, and, so far, they’re even worse.

Weird how the film with above and beyond the best reviews of the summer will be the highest grossing.
