The latest from writer / director Sofia Coppola.
This is Ms. Coppola’s fourth feature film. Out of her previous three I’m only a fan of Lost in Translation. Don’t remember The Virgin Suicides and the first half of Marie Antoinette is great, but completely loses it the second half. This looks to be more in line with Translation with a famous Dad coping with “Famous Dad Stuff”, lots of scenes in very nice hotels, awkward foreign TV show appearances and (I’m assuming) a cool soundtrack on the way. The band Phoenix is listed at thend, their song “Too Young” is featured in both Lost in Translation and Shallow Hal.
And I’m a huge fan of the trailers for both Translation and Marie Antoinette.
