Harvey Milk Day

Today is the first official Harvey Milk Day in California, honoring the assassinated Equal Rights Leader on what would have been his 80th birthday. A true community leader in every sense of the word.

There have been two excellent films made about Mr. Milk. First the documentary The Times of Harvey Milk, which you can watch in its entirety here on Hulu. As well as the recent film Milk, starring Sean Penn. They are both very moving films with a simple message, summed up best by the man himself.
