Financial Regulation Bill

At the moment it is in the Senate about to face debate and a vote, the whole thing could be passed by July 4th weekend.

The NY Times has an article that highlights how it effects you and me (the consumers), as well as the merchants.

The big one:  Creation of a Consumer Protection Agency. Excellent.

The bad:  No real regulation of trading derivatives, which is of course the leading factor into our current mess.
