Girl Power

In the CA Senate GOP Primary Race, Sarah Palin just endorsed former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina. This is odd in a few respects. First, Fiorina is trailing in all polls from 8 – 10 points against Rep. Tom Campbell (the election is on June 8th). Second, Fiorina was an advisor and spokesperson for the McCain campaign that Palin has for the most part distanced from since 2008. Third, Fiorina made a large gaffe during that campaign saying on the air that Pallin doesn’t have the experience to run a major company.

Perhaps it’s the continuation of the “outsider” strategy. Fiorina is not a previous office-holder. Perhaps a backgroom deal was struck that if Palin endorsed Fiorina and she goes on to become Senator she’d endorse Palin down the road…

or just plain old Girl Power. Take your pick.
