Health Care talk

It’s all over the place. There’s a million clips all over the place over every single talking head making every single argument and pro-and-con for this upcoming HCR bill. But there’s one from this morning I got a kick out of.

There are few people in the quote “chattering class” that drive me as insane as one Peggy Noonan (if you saw the recent remake of The Manchurian Candidate, Meryl Streep allegedly based her performance on Noonan). Conservative, Regan-loving, critical of Bush when it was popular to do so. When it came to torture she said our country should “just keep walking.” Both her and George Will strike me as intelligent conservative writers that chose to tote the party line whenever it suits them (read: when it’s popular).

Anthony Weiner (D-NY) mopped the floor with her today on Morning Joe. Clip here, courtesy of Talking Points Memo. Around the 7:30 mark. Noonan goes off on “what about bi-partisanship and process?” Weiner takes the reigns from there.
