Williams and Stewart sitting in a tree

Brian Williams is (like us) a big fan of Jon Stewart and The Daily Show. And if you take a listen to this segment on NPR’s All Things Considered you get an idea of the influence Stewart’s team has had on not just Williams but the entire MSM.

But “a lot of the work that Jon and his staff do is serious,” Williams says. “They hold people to account, for errors and sloppiness. … It’s usually delivered with a smile — sometimes not. It’s not who we do it for, it’s not our only check and balance, but it’s healthy — and it helps us that he’s out there.”

It’s a short segment and definitely worth a listen. Stewart marks his 11th anniversary with the show today. WOW.
